VA IRRRL
For those currently in a VA loan and would like to explore a lower rate, a streamline refinance/ Interest Rate Reduction Refinancing Loan (IRRRL) may be your best option. The main requirement for IRRRL is that the existing VA loan is current, and all payments for the past 12 months have been on time.
This streamline loan allows veterans to refinance their VA loan with little or no out-of-pocket costs.

What is a VA Streamline Refinance/VA loan?
VA loans are designed specifically for veterans. VA loans should only be issued by a VA-approved lender and are guaranteed by the federal government.
The primary benefit of a VA loan is Veterans with qualifying credit and income can purchase a home with no money down, making it an attractive option for those who have served in the military.
VA loans also feature flexible requirements, no private mortgage insurance (PMI), and competitive mortgage rates.
To qualify for a VA Loan, a veteran must have served 181 days during peacetime, 90 days during wartime, or 6 years in the Reserves or National Guard. Spouses of a service member who was killed in the line of duty may also qualify.
VA Streamline Refinance is a specific program available via the VA Loan Guaranty program.
Known as an Interest Rate Reduction Refinance Loan (IRRRL) by the U.S. government, the VA Streamline Refinance is sometimes called a VA-to-VA Loan.
